BELLA - a Trailer

Ann & Arthur Fletcher's forthcoming film is based on the mystery of BELLA whose skull was found in a tree in Hagley Wood.

Penny Cup

The Penny Cup

Sutton Coldfield Movie Makers are presented with the Penny Cup by John Simpson of Weymouth Movie Makers.  The Penny Cup is a national competition, and was won by Julian Austwick's The Race to Death's Door.

Behind the Signs. A great Club project. Three teams each made a little film and these were bound together by a film made by the fourth team.

A Winner

The Race to Death's Door is the winner of The Penny Cup, The CEMRIAC Inter Club Trophy and the Tony Rose Trophy. A comedy written, directed and edited by Julian Austwick.

Jack Reid's Short Cut

This is Jack Reid's first fiction film. He was assisted by experienced filmmakers Ann and Arthur Fletcher. The film won Jack the VideoQuip Trophy for the Best First Time Winner at the MMM Festival 2018. It features Julian Austwick as a shy birdwatcher..

Award winners

Julian Austwick's delightful film "Friends", won FIVE STARS at BIAFF.  Well done Julian and co-stars Jack Grainger and Fiona Dunn.  Another brilliant result for Sutton Coldfield Movie Makers!

Making films together

Getting together to make films is fun and an excellent way to learn.

You don’t need fancy equipment

This film was made with a Samsung smartphone and edited on Windows Movie Maker.

"Home Alone Hannah"  was SCMM member Debbie Daniels’ first entry into a SCMM competition.

One for the engineers

Another film made on a smartphone: Gordon Hunt was so impressed by this piece of Japanese engineering that he grabbed the opportunity to make this little film called Magic Metal.
